About

Just a little bit about us, and Havenwald.

A little about us...

Havenwald is a 6 acre Bed and Breakfast in the Texas Hill Country, with a wet-weather creek, a soaring bluff and enchanting woods made up of cedar and oak trees.

We are artists/builders, and our cottages are built by hand, of almost all architectural salvage and vintage materials.

Maggie, our first cottage built of architectural salvage, lives in Houston, Texas.

After watching our creations go to live at our clients' properties, we decided we'd rather keep them at Havenwald, and be able to share them with more folks by making them into little nightly inns.

You'll find antique beaded board wainscoting, salvaged tongue and groove floors and custom made cabinetry of cedar, long-leaf pine and walnut.

Even the furnishings are vintage treasures that we've curated and refurbished so they're both handsome and functional. And all our applied finishes are non-toxic from tung oil, citrus oil and natural earth pigments.
